No other scoring system in existence today is fairer or more accurate than the Trophy Game Records of the World's system. Though the metric system is very difficult to understand, in all reality, is a very accurate way of measuring. This system, which has been around since 1978, has almost 13,000 entries recorded in the data base. Publishing this book every three years has been a monumental task. Every scoring system in this country, however, subscribes to either a three or five year publication of their record book. What this does is create a hardship on the hunters and guides who have to wait for each publication to know exactly where their trophy places. It also makes it very difficult to promote the system when you have to wait that length of time.
The Trophy Game Records of the World has embarked on a process that I believe will revolutionize the scoring industry. No record keeping system in existence today has ever published a yearly record book. I believe this will be a very easy system to sell when a hunter can see his place in the record book in a relatively short period of time instead of having to wait three to five years until the next publication.
I sincerely hope that you as the outfitter, guide, ranch owner, or hunter will appreciate the effort that the staff and TGR committee will put forth bringing this book to you each and every year. I also hope that you enjoy the format of the book and the ease with which you can now find any species of animal listed.
What is amazing is the number of new diamond animals and the shear number of entries during this scoring period. This is a tribute, not only to the hunters who are taking the time to register these animals, but to the ranchers, outfitters, and guides who think enough of this system to promote it to their clients. Without each of you doing what you do we could not do what we do.
